ICT prepares children to take part in a rapidly changing world in which work and other activities are increasingly transformed by access to varied and developing technology. Through ICT teaching children learn how to store, manipulate, retrieve and present information which may consist of text, numbers, images, sound or other signals. These skills are taught through topics consisting of communicating information, handling information, modelling and control.

Our children are lucky to have access to both laptops and ipads throughout the day.   Children will use these in a range of lessons to enhance their learning, whether they are using laptops to present information using software suitable for purpose or apps on the ipad to practice and refine skills or use green screen technology to make a short film.  Our after school Code Club allows children in Y5/6 to develop their coding skills further using block coding, binary and python. Through our current scheme (Computing Champions Curriculum) the children’s skills are developed as they travel through their life at primary school.
